tiles and more tiles


So this is what the tiles look like when they are with each other.
Overall I think the lines are a little too intense and need to be muted a little more. Also that broken corner is really distracting and is too distinguished from the other blocks.

I think I could have found a better metal texture to select and paint over. The one I used was pretty uniform in values. Though I could have used a grunge map or something like it to determine where the paint still is.
I don't think the paint should go all the way to the edges, just looks off.

Door Project progress


There is still a lot I need to tinker with.
The whole alpha channel concept still alludes my understanding... along with proper lighting and rendering.
I know the newspapers are really huge, they are just quick place holder once I figure out how to do glass without a psd network.
Mushrooms need more work too since I wanna give them some character.
Dirt looks weird I feel once I understand alpha channels more I could make more convincing dirt.
